im thinking about picking this one up, i did a search on Google and came up empty....anybody?

I certainly have. Own it as a matter of fact. People compare it to Gunstar Heros. I personally think the two are very different, but that will at least give you the flavor. I think it's a great game one way or the other and if you can find it, get it. I paid about $50 and I'd pay it again.
edit: There's no 2 player. That's most people's biggest knock against it.

Chibi's on target. I picked up Gunner's Heaven (import) upon it's release. The little characters are somewhat reminiscent of Gunstar Heroes, but that's about it (aside from the non-stop shooting). It's a pretty cool game, actually. Also, from what I remember, it was pretty challenging, and downright difficult in some of the later stages. Not a bad choice at all.

This game is good clean fun. Was it a PSX launch title? I can't remember. Anyhow, I do see where people want to compare it to Gunstar. It is definitely it's own thing though. It's a quick and slick little action/platformer/shootey affair. It starts really easy and slowly builds. The fifth level boss is a total pistol and that's where I've been for a bit now. The best part is, no technical difficulties or slowdown thus far. And they said the Playstation couldn't do 2D.
Sorry if that's a bit of a stream of conciousness. My mind hurts.
