Thread: Resistance Retribution

  1. call me crazy, but isn't only giving a demo to people who have already bought the game...y'know...completely idiotic and self-defeating?
    -Kyo

  2. I don't think it's meant to give people that have already preordered the demo...I think it is meant to spur on preorders, which are all-important in these times.

On the other hand, if the demo sucks (in their eyes), then they'll remove the preorder and not buy it after all.

This is about the only thing coming for PSP (out of the west anyway, I have no idea about Japan) that's worth a crap...and chances are that I won't buy it because I am sure it'll be an ergonomic nightmare.

Agreed. I mean, I can see that it is an incentive, but the people who are going to preorder to get the demo were most likely going to buy the game day one anyway.

  4. Somehow this has eluded me until right now:

Resistance: Retribution™ Plus allows you to play the game using your DUALSHOCK®3 controllerwhile, adding dual analog stick controls and rumble support. Simply activate this feature through Resistance 2™, and then play the game on your PSP™ screen or through your televisions using the available video out function. This mode increases the challenge level and disables aim assist, allowing you to experience the game in an entirely new way.

I see that B-Ri posted about it but I wanted to say that I really like this option a lot. Being able to hook the PSP up to a tv and use a Dual Shock 3 is truly an option every PSP game should have. The only bummer is that you have to have Resistance 2 to activate it. They really should make it a stand alone option.

  5. While I think that's cool feature, it totally defeats the purpose of a portable. You might as well port the game to PS3 and buy it on PSN or something.

That's why it's an option and not a requirement.

  7. Exactly what Yoshi said. It takes nothing away from being able to play the game on the go and if I'm at home I would much rather play it with a controller and a tv. I think it is a no brainer.

  8. Not arguing that, but you guys sound like you want to play all your PSP games on a big screen TV at home.

I do. If I'm not on an airplane, I don't give a fuck about portability.

  10. I'm kind of in the same boat. I mean, if I'm on the move at all I will gladly play a portable game on a portable system. If I'm home, I will play that game 100% of the time on a tv instead if it is an option. I find it hard to believe that everyone doesn't feel that way about it.
