I just found out that Vita gamesaves are directly linked to PSN game archives. So if you delete a game to make space for another, your save is gone.

That's kind of awful.

Vita save games are either on the game card or part of the game file on your system. There's no way to separate your save from your game data. You're supposed to back it up to a PC like an iPhone or whatever. Kind of sucks.

Leave it to Sony to botch save-file management in 2011.

I hate to come to Sony's defense here, but it may be done that way to prevent hacking, as both the PSP and Wii were originally hacked by using funky save files.
