Verizon is the only cell phone company with good coverage in my area. AT&T, T-Mobile, and Sprint are all various ranges of bad. The only reason I switched to AT&T was for the iPhone and the only reason I'm still with them is the grandfathered unlimited plan. I wish the other options were better.

Yup and Yup. I never hit that point though. Sprint's coverage is good in my area and I get a good deal through my company with them.
I get a discount with AT&T and maybe the others as well. But, like Mech said, once I was grandfathered in, that's incentive to stay. The second they take that off the table, I'll essentially put my service out for bid.

Unlimited everything is pretty much the only reason I haven't dropped Alltel. At this point I could save almost half my monthly bill by switching over to straight talk via BYOD and I'd have at&t coverage, which is great around here.

It seemed like your comment about upgrading a bunch was in response to my statement of Verizon changing it.
I have Verizon because everyone who doesn't have them complains of service in my area plus I still get my Circuit City employee discount (LOL @ that) and I have my unlimited data with a phone I love. I go well over 2 gigs within a week so I'm not changing anytime soon.
