Walmart clearance is generally a big joke.
I braved Wal Mart because I remembered seeing Vita accessories in the clearance aisle the last time I made the mistake of going there. Now that I actually care, I found the official pouch and case for $16. The MSRP is $20. What the fuck kind of clearance is that? I scanned the bar code with my phone and found that Amazon had them both cheaper. Fuck Wal Mart. I should have known better.

While most new games go for $59.99, Walmart usually sells them at $59.94. Buying exclusively from Walmart is like getting a free video game every so often. The savings add up.

I spent the last 30 minutes or so updating the firmware and messing around with settings. I haven't put a memory card or game in it yet. The first thing you notice is the "holy shit this looks more like a tablet than a portable" screen. Had I ever allowed myself to play a demo unit, I would have owned one of these before now. The downside is that my wife, who abhors portables, saw it and now wants to play Uncharted. In messing with Welcome Park, I realized that the rear touch screen is actually useful. That was one thing that scared me a bit when it was first announced. I have a bullshit two hour meeting tonight, so I won't get into Uncharted until tomorrow.
