Galldam GH looks ugly nowadays. I can't believe how much Neversoft genericized this franchise.

I wouldn't say that Neversoft's done anything at all to make it worse; that's the problem, really.

Rock Band 1 and 2 have made a real effort to up the visuals and create a sleek interface while Guitar Hero has been sitting back making zero improvements since Guitar Hero II, and as a result, ends up looking shitty and dated by comparison.

Nah, the characters and the backgrounds in HMX's were all decently unique and distinct. Now even the preexisting GH characters have a distinct whiff of being made via create-a-character, and I can't even tell you anything about the background. Was there even one? I only remember darkness and some spotlights.

I love how you presume that that's the reason I don't like them now. I couldn't give a shit about what they think about illegal downloads. I don't like them because their music sucks and they're a shadow of what they used to be.

They also stiffed me out of a concert once here, because it was raining lightly for an hour. I guess they didn't want to get their hair wet.

Another nail in this game's coffin:

One of the best tracks on here, Mercyful Fate's "Evil," had to be re-recorded because they couldn't find the masters; the new version sounds like shit.

The same guy who did that video has a bunch of others up, if anyone's interested in checking out what the retail version looks like.
