I didnt dig it the first time.
A year later picked it up again and couldn't put it down. Basically you have to realize that you need to be absolutely insane and a perfectionist to save everyone.

It's a cruel game. Not every game should place nice, so I like it as is, with the only real stupidity being the escaped prisoners respawning. They really, really should have patched that shit. As long as you, Frank West, don't wander around like a retard trying to get blown by every female zombie, you should survive okay... well until the ending, which is kind of fucked as well.

I wouldn't call it so much "cruel" much as "completely not intuitive". I mean, the things you're doing are fun and everything, the save system just turned me off to playing the rest of the game. Did not care enough to dig up a FAQ guide for it. So, I have to get to this safe room to save, but half the "Save Point" markers on the game map are inaccessible because of some key? Fuck along, now.

I hope that there's a guy in the second one that talks to you through a radio and yells at you if you interrupt him. that was my favorite part of the first game. I'd interrupt the calls by saving my own life from a zombie hoard just to hear him call me rude.
I'm not a devious man by nature... but when you're unarmed, your tactics might gonna be downright Archimedean.
