Didn't the Genesis Golden Axe has an extra level in the end that the arcade version did not?
I love GA on Genesis, one of the best arcade translation in that era.
I don't get how you could like arcade Golden Axe and not the first Genesis game. The graphics aren't as good in the Genesis one (although they were amazing by console standards) but the gameplay's almost the same except it's slightly faster and more responsive. I was turned off by Golden Axe Warrior's blatant cloning back in the day but I warmed up to the game. It's unoriginal but well made.Originally Posted by AaronChance

Yeah, there's a short extra level plus boss battle.
For those that want the Mean Bean Machine achievement: Mean Bean Machine has password save. Think about it.
You have to disable the analog controls (in the control definitions, set the analog X and Analog Y settings to null (Esc), and just use the Analog Inc and Dec definitions). Then you can go into the Analog settings and tweak your speed and such (and keep the auto-center off) until it feels right.

It's hardly cheating when the final stage runs at the speed of light. I'm pretty good and puyo puyo, but trying to get chains at that speed is pure luck. All I need is this and the vectorman achievements to reach 1000/1000.
