Thread: Silent Hill: Shattered Memories

  1. I'll be surprised if this is Q3, unless things have changed recently. I wouldn't expect it until late '09 / early 2010.

  2. No weapons at all?

    Interesting if that's the case.

  3. Looking forward to this. Climax is well aware they're not Team Silent and the risks in screwing with one of the best horror games of all time. Hopefully they can pull it off.

Probably, but apparently things shift somehow in the middle of the game.

  4. After watching that walkthrough I'm now convinced this is a must have title for the Wii. The atmosphere alone is pretty outstanding.

  5. Looks decent enough I guess, (I hope its the video quality and not low res almost low PS2 quality but thats Wii for ya), and it did have some decent atmosphere and item interaction is neat.

But, I really DO HATE no weapons approach. I don't want to be on the run lal of the fucking game. Some people might enjoy that, but I like to be given a chance to fight the enemy. Don't make character super skilled combat expert, make it harder to fight but don't take the option away at all. Thats just gay.

I agree with this. The Wii has some outstanding horror on the way, especially if you include the rail shooters with the horror theme.

Fatal Frame 4 is apparently never being released in the west, unfortunately. Nintendo wanted Tecmo to fix some game breaking bugs and fiddle with the controls before the western release, and Tecmo was all like "no way, you want us to do more work but you're not going to pay us again for it" and Nintendo was like "pay you extra to fix your broken shit? Eff off."

  8. Tecmo is pretty slimy there but Nintendo's refusal to give up/sell the Western publishing rights to another company is almost as bad.

  9. Nintendo was the publisher as it was. If that was such a big problem, they'd have fixed them before relasing it in its home territory.

  10. I hear there's a petition.
