I'm not convinced by the trailer, but its Sam Raimi, so i'll give it a shot. It looks like it may have a J-horror influence, which would suck balls. Really though, he should have just done something as bat shit crazy as evil dead.

I read an interview with Bruce saying how neither of them felt up to doing a new Evil Dead movie because of the insane amount of effort needed to do it right. As well as they would want to make the movie how they saw fit (no name actors, lower production values) and the studios didn't seem too happy about it. I'll see if I can find the interview somewhere. The interview also talked about how they wanted to do Ash vs Freedy vs Jason and the studio said that the movie couldn't have Ash killing them both and winning. Which ended the talks of that immediately. lol.
As for this movie, the beginning of the trailer looked meh. Like bbobb said, seemed very j-horror inspired. The end of the trailer had a better feel to it but I'm still hesitant. I've hated the recent string of horror movies being released and this one doesn't seem to vary from the formuula.
