...these people loved the fear games almost as much as destro777 does...I wouldn't bother mentioning it if it were the madden crew crying.
Ah, okay. Carry on.
Half-Life bored me, and yet I liked Wii Goldeneye, so my tastes in FPS's may be suspect.
The first to solving your problem is to admit you have one.
Doom would be a good substitute for Half-Life in the above discussion as well.
I'm not sure which you guys are referring to, but the original HL was revolutionary for its time (although the final level was complete trash even when it launched). HL2 only had about a year of "actual" development time spent on the game which is why it's a long boring mess of nothing going on for the middle half. But the beginning and end and episodes are really great! It is a lot better, both technically and in execution with comparatively amazing AI. The levels, however, are much blander with way too much environment repetition. I could never remember what level I was on in the original.Originally Posted by kingoffighters
Doom is the best FPS ever! It is probably my most played 360 game, seriously.
To be fair, I didn't play either of the Half Life games until long after release, so being revolutionary didn't matter to me. I have been thinking of getting the Orange Box and giving HL2 another go.
Just got my console today. I've been playing Borderlands again almost daily, if anyone is interested hit me up. Username is SamSun. I will be sending some friend requests out.
Cloud gaming is a cool idea, but I like to have physical media in my hand. It can be resold if I get stuck/sick of it, and in 10 years when Onlive is out of business and I still want to play the games, I won't be fucked for things I already payed for.
You don't have to be smart; you don't have to know the facts, you just have to be confident.
