Improving the produce is the company's number 1 goal. A lot of it comes in in poor shape but the opportunity and local buy produce that we get in is always really good. Most of the out of season stuff is sourced from Cali or Chile and all of that stuff is hit or miss.
Trader Joe's just opened up in Portland last Friday, 10/30. I bought a bag of potato chips, which were damn good. Other than that I didn't see anything I cared too much about. Any recommendations?
Not milk, though. Smiling Hill Farms 1/2 gallon glass-bottled 2% all the way. If there's better on the planet I've yet to find it.
I love the Trader Joe's (organic?) granola/cereal bars, as well as their brand of yogurt; the creamy kind. They also sell those big jars of peaches and pears that I think are jarred in grape juice, I loved those.
