eh i agree with biff. while it may be hardhearted, anything we give them will be turned on us and used to strengthen the regime in place.
frankly, i don't think any of the governments involved (most of all the koreas) want to see north korea fall because of the massive economic burden it will be when it finally becomes the rest of the world's problem. east germany was a huge drag on west germany after reunification but i think east germany was in much better shape then than north korea is now. still beats war though.
also: north korea has withdrawn from the 1953 armistice and claims it considers itself at war with south korea

everyone thinks this is just rampant fronting though

If i remember, its borders are lined with cannons facing South Korea (or vice versa).
Icarus, don't google search one article and consider yourself educated.
This is, indeed, even more rampant fronting as generally if you intended to go to war with another country you would not want to give them a warning such as "I renig your treaty faggot, you've got 23.3 days to prepare for our attack"
Go away, you suck at world politics.
Ummm, I believe that Germany was defeated before we even used the bomb on Japan so whether we had developed it or not really has nothing to do with Germany in WWII. Even if they had come up with it before we did, by 1945 their country was in complete shambles and a few nukes used on the advancing Soviets wouldn't have stopped them.
