Hate: Sim 30 years in franchise (Fuck you Madden 06) and I heard one of the NBA games has one where you have to sim 60 YEARS?!?!?!?! FUUUUUUCK that. I want to play my games, not sit and watch for days while they play themselves. I also don't like, as has been mentioned, the come in first in a multiplayer game cuz I'm usually not as good as everyone else. And yeah, Fallout 3's big achievements for reaching the levels as all the styles is some serious bullshit, although that game does have high replayability.
Love: Checkpoint ones. Conan, RE5 and others made me feel good about progressing through the game by giving me an achievement for just beating the level, no matter the difficulty, and that makes me want to keep playing sometimes even when the game isn't that good (Frontlines). Teired unlockables, one that I liked in Fallout (but never got cuz I only knew where one was) was the bobble heads, which I'm pretty sure you got one for collecting half and another for collecting all. Naruto has a similar approach as do other games, that makes me feel like even if I don't find everything thats fine cuz my searching was still rewarded mid way/third of the way whatever.
There are more for both I'll stop there for now.
