Why should I count that? I was never a fan of KC or the Nordiques. In fact, I wasn't even born.

Nor were they division rivals at the time.

It's a part of your heritage and history, like it or not. The fact that it was abysmal makes it easier for you to ignore but doesn't change the fact that it is what it was. KC didn't fold. They moved and renamed themselves.

I'll ignore every year except 1928-40 and 1994 and I have more Cups than you. Nah, that wouldn't be fair.

<shrug> we weren't division rivals with the Rangers back then, and we weren't the same team with the same management and ownership, so no, I don't count it.

The Devils are whatever the Devils have done as the Devils. The end. Whatever happened before that is like, the origin story. Wolverine wasn't Wolverine before they shot him full of adamantine, and the Devils weren't the Devils until they shot them full of New Jersey.

And if they leave New Jersey in my lifetime I probably won't follow them anymore, except in passing.

Do you find ways to upset teams? Yeah. When you’re an underdog there are always upsets. We had our opportunity. I felt Hank gave us the opportunity the way he played early in the series. And I will say, I felt Hank was part of the reason we didn’t, too. So he was great, but also struggled at key times, too. I’m not running him down. But I felt at 3-1 we needed to step up offensively and we didn’t and that’s my responsibility, getting it out of them, and it’s the players’ responsibility for not getting it done. Some of them weren’t able to, some of them couldn’t, some of them who I thought had the ability just didn’t.”
Besides my own, he's my favorite coach. I just love his post game interviews. Definitely shoots from the hip.

  6. So what your saying is Logan became Wolervine in 1982? Sweet! Never knew when that event went down. Go Rockies, er Scouts, DAMMIT! l mean Devils. (there we go)

Caps today and I don't have cable. Any way to watch on the internets?

  8. It's on NBC, if that matters.
