Konami was awesome from ~1987 to ~1997. Then it all went to shit with a few exceptions.
Looking back, Konami was really on point in the early stages of the Playstation/Saturn era with Suikoden, Vandal Hearts and SotN. All classics in my book.

Not really. Their PS2 lineup is pretty great.
Silent Hill 2 and Gradius V I support. Don't bring MGS shit in here...
Suikoden 3 was amazing as well. Not as good as 2, sure, but still a great game.

Q: The area that stands out in most people's minds about the Vandal Hearts series is the superfluous amounts of blood during combat. We've not seen this so far, what's the deal?
Konami: There's been a bit of misinformation when it comes to the blood sprays, but they definitely are in the game. Some sites covering the demo remarked that they'd seen a fountain or geyser of blood. The blood geysers are certainly in. However, what we showed was taken from the pre-alpha build.
Like all fans, we know how important the blood sprays are as a series trademark, and we're always fine-tuning them (along with all the other effects) to make sure they gush just right. So stay tuned.

The art is a little meh, it looks like some Cartoon Network show or something. I loved the first game, might pick this up.
I loved the original Vandal Hearts, finished it twice (never became a Vandalier the first time through). It still handles character position better than any other srpg I can think of.
This looks like an incredibly shitty remake of that awesome game. I don't get why they let it get out of concept.
