Using the term reboot implies that they fucked up the other 2 and want to wash their hands of them, which they should not. Predator 1 is damn good and 2, while not as good, is much better than people make it out to be. Can't it just be a new predator movie? Use whatever term you want. It's a movie in a jungle with badasses trying to kill alien badasses. As long as the action and pacing are good, it will be an awesome flick. I'm definitely pumped for this one.

Advocate: I can play the link game too, toots. There's countless articles online supporting the fact that Predators is a sequel to Predator, but that it's ignoring P2 (shame, I liked it) and AvP 1 & 2 (good move). Go look at the Wikipedia article, it's loaded with quotes and reference links saying so. Hell, RR even said he named the flick Predators to give the same feeling Aliens had compared to Alien.

Aside from that- if Predators cancelled out Predator, WHY would RR have offered Arnold a chance to reprise his role from Predator? Hmm?

Predators is sequel. Only a retard would ignore the glory that is Predator.

Predator 2 is pretty directly a sequel to 1, though. Busey's whole deal is that he researched what happened in the jungle and wanted to capture a Predator.

Yes, but it's a well known Hollywood fact Busey is delusional. In Predator 2, Busey is suppose to have watched the first predator and believed it was real.

Predators is actually more of a sequel to Predator 2 considering the role RR offered Arnold was to play himself as the Governor shocked by the monster in his film being brought to life through the acts of Busey and Glover!
