The difference in tone from the original trailer to the most recent is striking. Then they said rated R at the end and I felt better.

Skeptical.
I think it looks cool, but they always write more interesting stories for the aliens than the people. I end up rooting for the bad guys in these sorts of movies, and the humans always inevitably win with some stupid plot contrivance. The building sense of hopelessness as the aliens' plan unfolds is always so enjoyable, I'd like for once for the humans' desperation/last hope plan fail and the movie end with a great downer.
Plus, it would set it up for a great sequel where you'd actually want to root for the humans.

I think I liked the first trailer better. This looks like a summer action flick with interesting overtones and far too much fast cutting. I fully expect the movie to be great, but this trailer was just obnoxious.
