This sounds like a clusterfuck. Is this why non-MCU can't have nice things? The directing was such a key part of why Deadpool was cool. Based on the article the director wanted some substance mixed in w the jokes but Reynolds didn't? The movie already walked the line to overdoing it (in to pandering territory) so that concerns me a bit.
Kyle Chandler has a kind of passing resemblance to Cable, but I don't see him pulling off Cables attitude well.

Honestly, does anyone really care all that much about Cable? Especially enough to walk away from a high-profile paying gig over it?
That's the impression I got as well, but the article wasn't 100% clear in that regard. They said Miller wanted it to be more "stylized," whatever that means.
