Guild Wars is a funny game like that. I'll really get into it like twice a year. Every time I come back everything is so different it's like a new game.

See, now I feel like playing it again. I still haven't had a proper go at Mesmer.
    ABOUT ME.

  2. Rondo of Swords, the archer character is hands-down the most important person in the game. Archers in that game are devastating.

  4. I entirely forgot about Rondo of Swords. Can't believe that. Yeah, Ansom was a complete badass, and I constantly had to keep him in check so that he wouldn't soak up all the exp available on the battlefield.

I wanted to stay away from MMOs because while they may have some decent archer classes, I fucking hate them. Also, they tend to focus on damage per second as opposed to different abilities. I did play quite a lot of Guild Wars though, and thought the Ranger was quite fantastic, but the Mesmer ended up holding my interest far more as a class. Not entirely sure why.

With the Elder Scrolls comment, I'm not really interested in exploiting the game either. I guess my lament of arrows is my general displeasure at gaming for tending to water down every class so that they are all equal in some way. They all come down to damage per second and have no personality or flavor of their own. I could easily imagine a lot of things that could separate different classes from one another with how they advance through a given scenario, but that would take some effort on game designers part and what with all the voice acting, and symphonic sound, and video that needs to be made, there is little left for the game.

    Also.... Legolas! Legolas! Legolas!
