Just played the demo and it seems pretty fucking awesome so far. Really looking forward to this one. I personally have been digging Platinum's output.

While the demo is cool, stylish, and all that jazz, I'm not seeing how this is the what DMC4 should have been. Unless you count 10' tall, buxom hair-tights lady as "a step forward." Granted it is fun, but I could see the game getting hella repetitive if it tries to go on for too long, or doesn't mix things up from time to time. The demo is fun exactly because it's a demo - Bayonetta feels like an amazing 5-minute game.
Brutal Legend had an AMAZING demo. Terrible game, but amazing demo. So I'm trying to keep that in mind with Bayonetta. To its credit, I picked DMC4 up again for $10 because now I'm in the beat-em-up mood, so...
DMC4 was a pile of shit though.
I was pretty disappointed on my first run, but when I came back months later and tried Bloody Palace, I enjoyed it a lot more. It has tons of problems and could never even touch DMC3 in terms of sheer fun and off the walls (see: motorcycle) action, but revving up that sword was pretty aces.
Where do Ninja Gaiden and God of War fall in comparison? I am way behind on this subgenre. I've played DMC1-2, NG, and GoW but nothing since in any of those series. And I like the Bayonetta demo.
