I can identify with what Icarus is saying, the game has alot of cinema and it is mostly ridiculous and stupid. However, this is where replaying the game on hard is all about because you focus on getting better and delving deeper into the combo system and you skip all the garbage story.

Holy crap is Angel Slayer mode hard. I can get to the end of Verse 2 with almost full health, but there are five fucking verses! Yeah, I know there are exploits...I am trying to avoid using them. Except for the Kilgore, because it is awesome.

So I have a question in Chapter X verse 3 I think, can I skip the fucking Alfheim portal? I just got really fucking pissed off at it and turned the game off. It's the you can only kill enemies with wicked weave moves one.
I like the game but some shit about it just frustrates the hell out of me. I find there's a fair amount of cheap deaths or injuries. No where's near as bad as the NG series, but still.

You can skip it. It affects your overall grade for the chapter, but yeah you can skip it. Of course, there's an unlockable and an achievement for beating all portals. Wicked weave isn't too bad...PKP will get you through the whole challenge. You can mix in PP (pause) K as well more elaborate ones if you're comfortable. A couple of ways to help are (1) do PKP, and then dodge backward to give you space for the next weave; or (2) dodge offset -- PK(hold, dodge) P -- to create some more space for the weave. Good luck.

Equip Shuraba, YBY, repeat. You will hit everything on screen nearly every time with the horizontal tracking wicked weave. If you are still struggling, just turn into a panther and run towards the corner of the screen and do YBY because enemies won't attack or dodge if they are near the edge of the screen.Originally Posted by Shin Johnpv
So I finished the game yesterday, and I'll eat my words: I really, really liked it. One of those games where after I beat it I had to call my brother to talk about why he should run out and grab it. Really wanna try it again cuz I missed the third piece to the last LP so I'm pretty sure I missed the last weapon, plus I didn't buy lots of moves and accessories because I was saving my halos cuz I didn't know when it would end.
One question: new game plus, is it on the same difficulty? Cuz I would like to try it on a harder one with all my stuff at the beginning if I can.

I just noticed that it knocked up the difficulty on the new game one notch without me doing anything. That's a good thing, I just hope to find everything this time (but doubt I will). And about the ending, I loved it, but holy hell it seems like they never wanted this game to end. It keeps going and going. When I called my brother to tell him about it, I had to pause it mid convo cuz the game wanted me to play again. Just end the damn thing!
