This is true, I read in a previous interview with someone from the dev team, and he said this exact same thing, they were able to get so many enemies because they just create a bunch of instances of the same prototype. Nothing really wrong with that though, if the prototype is fairly dynamic.They're all identical. I doubt there is much they can do about it as I imagine that's one of the reasons they're able to put so many on screen without any framerate drop.
