Thread: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

  1. Resurrection is exactly the kind of DLC that I've been wanting for my games. A little bit of the story that will bridge the gap between this game and the next without making me wait 2 or 3 years for the sequel.

I never said I don't buy DLC. The closest I came was saying that I would only buy it for my absolute favorite games. Gears 2, Red Dead, and Castlevania would qualify, considering they are probably three of the top five non-Cave console exclusives of the last three years.
Didn't you say you wanted the Alan Wake content as well? If that's one of your favorite games I feel bad. Whether you're getting it at a discount (or free for the first pack) it's still bad dlc for a mediocre game.

It depends on the discount with that one. I got The Signal for free, so it's just a matter of whether The Writer meets the price for performance threshold that's the question. Frankly if it had five more DLC pieces, rather than one, I wouldn't even consider it. I think that's part of the trick with DLC too. If the publishers release so much that it's overwhelming, I'll buy none of it, rather than choosing. Or I'll wait for a GotY edition to get the DLC.

  4. The 1st DLC came out this week on PSN. No word on the release date for the 360 version. Also, this:

  5. That was fucking awesome! Oh and I'm gunna go play this game again while I wait for the DLC, good stuff.

Not crazy about the game but this DLC does sound pretty cool.

  7. Watching the cutscenes on YouTube will be cheaper and have better gameplay.

The irony of that post and an Okami/Okamiden avatar is thick.

The Reverie seems hard as shit on Paladin, although that may be due in part to not remembering exactly how to properly play the game after several months.

It's just for the art style, I've never spent money on an Okami game.
