Vanguard Bandits says fuck off.
What? Tactics Ogre belongs up there (technically it is a SNES game but no English version). Vanguard Bandits is pretty good, so is Kartia. I am not sure about Brigandine or Master of Monsters...

And I'm not above cheating by including the GBA library in the DS camp. AW 1 & 2, two of the best Fire Emblems in the entire series, Super Robot Taisen OG 1 & 2, Shining Force 1 remake (hugely underappreciated), Yggdra Union, and Tactics Ogre: Knights of Lodis. I guess some people are into that FFTA stuff, too.
Shit, I might have to hand the title over to GBA.
I love me some srpgs, one of my favorite genres, but kartia was just no good.
FFT is still the king, but for overall depth of quality, what you can play on a ds (gba/ds games) is the srpg champion.
re: front mission - I have the ds FM game, but I still haven't played it yet. :/

I'm all for telling Yoshi to fuck off with his right-wing anti-portable bullshit, but beyond the Advance Wars, none of that is really that great, and Fire Emblem is only passable if you don't have anything better to do with your life. And I'm not above cheating by including the GBA library in the DS camp. Donk
I love the disgaea games more for their story, artwork, and personality than I do for the gameplay.
It get's pretty stale for me after about 40ish hours. :/
Sorry, but PC has the best SRPGs. The three X-Com games, King's Bounty: The Legend, the Heroes of Might and Magic series, and the Freedom Force games are all stellar titles.
Freedom Force is not an SRPG in any way, shape, or form.
