    Congratulations. It's still bullshit.

Also: Kill yourself if you're wasting time exploring before getting all of the main story items.. I'm not about to check every stupid dead whenever I get a new weapon. I save that for the end when I know I'll have everything I need.

Maybe I would have bothered if Prime 3 said anything about the goddamned batteries before I got to that horrible room. But it didn't, so I didn't. I figured that Retro couldn't possibly be stupid enough to do the same thing in another game, especially after the artifact complaints from Prime 1. (I didn't finish 2)

  2. I just beat Super Metroid today for the first time. I played it when it first came out but never got into it. What a great fucking game! I've played and beat most of the other games in the series, but I'm almost glad I saved this game for last. I'm hyped for other M to come out, but now my bar is set so incredibly high.

  3. Other M cannot possibly meet that bar, just go ahead and put that out of mind. Super Metroid deserves its reputation, which is a rare thing!

Metroid 2 deserves a Zero Mission style remake, it was good at the time but a fleshed out version would be stellar.

Yeah, Super Metroid is pretty much perfect. I doubt we will see another Metroid game that good. If Nintendo gathers the same team that did Zero Mission and makes another 2d game, that would probably have the best chance but, even still, it would be pretty hard to do.

  6. Super Metroid was an awesome game but I really think Zero Mission is close enough for horseshoes.

  7. New Preview sounds promising.

I was obsessed with Zero Mission one time. Beat it in a sitting. Definfitely a strong second with Prime coming in third.

Gah I never played Zero Mission! I kept meaning to and never bought it =[ Checking eBay now.

Ugh never mind they want like $60. I'll borrow it from a friend.

  10. Zero Mission was great, so much better than the NES game and right up there with Super Metroid for me. One of the few games I played over and over, seeing how quickly I could beat it with as little stuff.
