    It's a damn fine Metroid game. It should stand on the merits of its gameplay, not stupid shit like OMG there's too many cutscenes in my metroid!! Anyone who paid any real attention to the game through trailers, or played Fusion knew where this was going.
    See what I said to Tain. As for Fusion, I vaguely remember it and mostly have the impression that I was bored by it. The very limited/linear environment so they could tell me a 'story' that seemed crafted by 14-year old fanfic wasn't the ideal trade off imo.

  2. So Prime is the first waggle game I've played. It's novel for a while, but your arm gets tired. I keep wishing it was just dual analog.
    Boo, Hiss.

  3. analog + pointer shits all over dual analog. It's not even close, really.
    PSN = knarlockk
    Steam= kevinb150

    You uh, know you can just rest your arm on your knee and only move your wrist slightly, right?

  6. You still have to hold your wrist still in just such a way. It's uncomfortable and awkward.
    Boo, Hiss.

    Except Trilogy was $20 three months after release, Zero Mission was superb and still ended up in clearance bins. Not to mention Amazon, Wal-mart, and Target are already doling out giftcards for Other M.

    I must be the only person who liked Fusion's story. The sinister 2001 computer and awesome Samus parasite armor (better doppleganger than Dark Samus) added alot of tension and kept things moving. Sad to hear they cheesed this up.

    You're doing it wrong if that's the case. It's seriously much less exertion than say, playing Street Fighter on an arcade stick.

    It was on sale for $20 for one week at one store during the holidays. Then everybody started going apeshit about it being out of print and it never went below $50 again.

    I wasn't really keen on the wistful remembrances of Adam (especially since deciding to seize upon that thread looks to be a big part of Other M's yuckiness), but everything else was pretty rad. The game's linearity is overstated; the computer does say "go here," but "here" is usually a nebulous point in a mapless nothing that requires a lot of nonlinear exploration to actually get to.

    You're doing it wrong, and make sure you have the controls set to advance. I would play sitting on my couch, with my arm just resting on the arm of the couch and never had a problem playing the game.

    Anyway, I'd say I'm a little more than half way through this. The way people talked about how much story was in this I expected constant cut scenes. That's not the case though, so far there's only been 2 major moments that really had longer than a few seconds cut scenes. I'd also say the story isn't as bad as people have been making out either. I'm not saying its great either, but its passable for a video game. I'm also not sure how G4 found the story sexist. I'm still baffled by that one.
