Let's not get all Yoshi here. Both are fine and play well. The PSX one I would consider unplayable.

I actually misread the original post and I thought he said Chrono Cross. Both the PSX Trigger and the original CC had some horrible load times. Also, Chrono Cross was a bad game.

I don't remember it well, but it was the last JRPG I finished for almost 20 years. It couldn't have been too bad.

I liked it at the time, as a teenager. I went back to it recently and it was bad news bears.

Chrono Cross was awesome back then and still has an amazing soundtrack. The last time I tried to go back to it I realized that it has to be played in an emulator because it looks like dogshit in the native resolution, like walking around the map was abstract multicolored polygonal masses that were supposed to be people.

Plus Lynx and Harley were cool.

Those games were not meant to be played on HDTVs, that's just reality.

True, but some old PS1 games look better than others. All things considered, Final Fantasy 7 looks pretty good on an HDTV though the PS3. Xenogears does not, but makes a great PSP game.
