I didn't know the difference when I watched Zombieland.
I thought it was Michael Cera. His schtick was a one-trick-pony the first time I saw him.
It's a real shame Hollywood is bankrupt for original ideas.

None of the actors in Zombieland brought anything of value to their performance.
Or perhaps it was the director who did not coax anything of value from the actors.

I guess if you buy the whole redo of Woody's NBK persona, than that might be one exception. However I thought it was pretty lame. And felt bad for Woody for not having anything original to deliver.

Lo, and behold, I find out today that it was originally planned to be a TV series, and then a TV movie, and then became the theater release.

I think audiences are so starved for anything remotely entertaining that they eat up junk like Zombieland.

I'd be willing to bet you knew it was planned as a TV series before you made this "clever" remark. Because why would you do so much research about a movie you didn't like after you watched it? You obviously just have an inferiority complex. No big deal. (Dyne has one too) It took zombies to expose your insecurities as a human being. Michael Cera sucks, the young actor in this sucks, the love story sucks, Woody Harrelson sucks completely wrong, all new movies suck, zombies suck, motion graphics suck, twinkies suck, Sci-Fi Channel sucks, everyone else sucks, etc. Somebody's all addicted to hatorade up in here.

Woody Harrelson has been great, hence my disappointment with his recycled performance. Yes, the twinkie thing was lame. And his reaction to getting one was right out of his Cheers playbook.

I did "research" on the movie because I was trying to find out about all the "great press" it was reportedly getting.
I was looking for a different opinion besides the comments here.

to clarify the rest of your suppositions:
Sci-Fi channel is fine, I made no statement nor implication to the contrary.
I could care less about Mike Cera. I was amused by Superbad, but don't need to keep riding that comedy train.
New movies are fine, just not the lame recycled ones.
I could care less about Zombies, but they don't suck. I've seen more than a few really great zombie movies, Zombieland is not one of them, as has already been established.
