I think it's the man-to-man defense. Brees eats zones for lunch, but maybe we're seeing that the Saints don't have the athletes to beat man-to-man coverage if there's a reasonable pass rush.

I don't understand how you don't throw into the end zone at all from between the 5 and 10 when you have a kicker who has been awful lately. Yeah, you kill time by running, but you also left it at a 7 point lead, since everyone knows you're running.
