I hope Jason Campbell stays healthy.
In what round were your linemen taken? At least your team actually drafts o-linemen. The last time the Skins spent a high draft pick on an O-lineman was in 2000 - when we drafted Samuels... It's only a matter of time before Campbell gets hurt.
The O-line is our biggest weakness and will continue to be so long as Tweedle Dee (Dan Snyder) and Tweedle Dumber (Vinny Cerrato) continue to think they know how to run an NFL franchise. I've personally written to them calling them out on their lack of ability.

I hope Jason Campbell stays healthy.
3rd Round I believe.
I'm in the belief that an O-Line is most every struggling teams problem. If you can't run the ball, how much of that is the Back and how much is it the Offensive Line? Sure, blocking schemes make it all come together, and a talentless back won't do well (but honestly, really and truly, no matter what pundits say, if you're an NFL RB, you're talented), but the majority of that load is on the OL. If a passer has time to pass or at least consistently hit timing routes, if a back has gaps to hit, if the TE is free to slip a defender in blocking all of that can go down to how well that OL plays.
I will say that an incompetent QB can throw all of that in the trash (David Carr IMO) and everyone will look bad for it, but the sheer talent of the QB on the positive side has less an impact on how good an offense is.
Like the saying, Genius has it's limits, but stupidity is not thus handicapped.

The OL and DL are what casual fans don't understand and therefore over/underrate players at other positions. No QB can succeed with a terrible line, and no CB can cover a WR with a terrible DL for example. And the opposite is true too. Any idiot can throw when he has all day, and any CB can be a good cover guy when the QB is under pressure after a second and a half.
All this talk is making football sound like a team game. That's ridiculous.
All this and more is why I am more concerned than ever about the Texans, being out two of your starting OL, Pitts and Breisel (whom have been on the same line for 5 years, and when Carr left, suddenly they weren't considered the worst OL ever despite there only being 1 new addition in that time). Schaub is injury prone (even if those injuries came from flaged and fined late hits from thugs like Haynesworth and Allen) and a softened OL might just be what finally breaks the man in half. I'm afraid of a future QB'd by Rex Grossman or worse still, Dan Orlovski.

I get Chiefs at Redskins and Panthers at Buccaneers at 1:00 today. I hate regional programming. Patriots at Titans at 4:00 isn't much better. I get six teams with a combined record of 6-23.
I didn't see this earlier in the week... *looks at results of the Monday night game*... enjoy your hunt for the wild card.
Anyway, Texans have a tough one this week. I don't see our running game happening, the Bengals D line is solid and our O line isn't going to miraculously produce any running lanes that haven't really been there all season (barring a few lucky moments a few games ago). I'm pretty sure they'll throw all sorts of blitz packages at Schaub to see how long the protection can hold out. Thinking 5 sacks and possibly a fumble or int from the man... I'm prepared for dissapointment. And to think I had this penciled in as a win on the schedule before the season started.
Oh well, maybe something funny will happen to salvage the day, like the Rams beating the Jags or Buffalo embarassing the Jets.
OMG GREEN BAY VS DETROIT!!! FUCKING EPIC!!
seriously though I'm afraid of GB getting shamed today. I need Green Bay to rape the shit out of Detroit to feel better about the shoddy season so far.

I don't want to hear any Giants fans complaining about Brady's roughing the passer calls anymore.
