Anyone who is going to be drawn by a connection to the movie has already been drawn by the fact that its a BATMAN book in the first place. That connection has already been exploited if they are reading the cover to begin with. Referencing another work with the word "Dark Knight" in it is pointless, not to mention that many people will notice its not the same title.
Also, "Batman by the guy who brought you Batman" is a stupid marketing concept. But "A take on Batman by the guy who made Sin City and 300" sounds like something that might pique the interest of someone who doesnt read comics.

Jim Lee sucks.

Oh there's definitely worse (Greg Land comes to mind). I mean in proportion to the dick-sucking he gets.

Greg Land I can take or leave. That Zombie arc on Ultimate FF was incredible and it would be dumb to say otherwise IMO, but yeah, by and large he needs some new tricks.
Best guy in mainstream comics is Brian Hitch, and even he uses some photo reference here and there. And he's a million years late on everything. But other than that, Solid Gold!

Take your stupid comic talk somewhere else, you cunts.
Greg Land mostly just traces magazine ads and softcore porn. Thats why he sucks, because he sidestepped bothering to learn one of the basic skills of his profession.
Brian Hitch is good. But unfortunately the best guys often don't do much page work any more. Those being Travis Charest, Adam Hughes, Mike Mignola, Hiroaki Samura, and bunch of others I'm sure I'm forgetting.
