Honestly, I don't see how you see it being cowardly that I worked my ass off for a great scholarship and don't want to jeopardize it. How is that shameful? I'm sure I could pass calc I, and probably calc II; as it stands I have a 3.8 and will get a degree that is more than suitable. Why would I mess with that?

Your education is a fuck of a lot more important than your money. Otherwise why would you be in college?

  3. I'm getting a quality education. It's not like I dropped out because calc was soooo~ scary. I'm graduating on time, with a great GPA and research experience, and am grad school bound. Big deal.

if the scholarship is the most important thing, then don't get "bummed out" over getting a BA instead of a BS.

I'm saying that your fear of losing tuition money shouldn't be given one second's consideration when deciding what courses would benefit you. If you decide you don't want/need the math, that's fine, but not if that's your reason. You'd regret it eventually.

I agree. It is better to go into debt or save up for school while you work and learn what you want instead of learning what you don't want on someone else's dime.
