I've found that Tech changes people somehow. It's like they're in a cult.

But then again, if you're in ODU, you have to live in Norfolk and... I mean, why would you want to do that?

Grad school right now is looking like VCU or GMU for me. They both have English MA's with a concentration on professional writing that I find sort of interesting. I have some others I'm considering as well. My cousin went to UNC Chapel Hill for her J-school MA, and she is pushing me to do that, but I don't think I want to pay that much goddamn money for a journalism degree.

I grew up in Western Branch and would probably have to live at home while attending ODU for two years. I'd rather shoot myself. You can't go home again type thing.

Actually, I got an A in that. And the teacher uses some of my writing as in class examples. I'd taken it after getting a B in English comp 1 and an A in English comp 2, hoping I could get some help with my bad grammar. Either something switches on in my head when I write professionally or you people are anal over things that most people don't notice OR A MIX OF BOTH

I have every right to laugh. I get a ton of shit here from people that have trouble with 1/5th the educational load I'm under at any given time. I'm told and treated like I'm stupid by people that are unable to learn and do what I do.

If that pisses you off, gain a little bit of humility and stop flying up my ass every time I do anything you perceive to be dumb, or easy for you. Otherwise you're a fucking hypocrite. Don't ask or expect me to give you the benefit of the doubt if you can't do the same for me.

yeah, kind of. If you go to college and you're doing something that is easy and you already know, you're probably wasting time and money. If you never ever feel stupid, you are not challenging yourself.

And that's sometimes the problem with college degrees in general. It often takes this feeling away from people and makes them feel like they don't need to learn stuff anymore because they already learned what they need to know.

If I can get through all of my college writing classes with high grades, you could get at least a C at a community college with enough effort and desire.

I am a senior now and will be penalized for taking 100-level courses, and can't afford tuition elsewhere (it is free at my university on my scholarship).

these are just excuses. If you really wanted to take those classes, you would have found answers for both problems.
