Of course it hasn't. This isn't a movie it's Cameron's commercial for the eventual flight to Pandora, where his company, KingoftheWorld Enterprises, will be strip mining the hell out of that place. He just tacked on the happy ending to sucker more people into watching it.

I finally saw this. The environment, the creatures, the Panzer Dragoons, and some of the characters were all amazing and I enjoyed them thoroughly. The story, however, I thought was shit.

To be the top grossing movie of all time, something needs to have massively broad appeal - which means it probably won't be the greatest movie. Don't act like America has fuck all to do with it - the same rules apply in every country

I also liked how they took some of the more interesting concepts from non-Western religions and instead of expanding upon them, dumbed them down and made the pantheist connections physical to make it seem "real."
