Yeah, wearing a disguise to get in close is a totally novel concept. They are geniuses for coming up with that plot point all by themselves.

The planet as a living earth mother that bonds with the natives and is part of all living beings? Man, this is some unheard of shit they're coming up with.

Giving something a different name does not actually make it different.

I'm no Avatar apologist, but that Pocahontas thing is so tired. Why didn't anyone lambast The Lion King for paralleling Hamlet? Or Star Wars for following in the wake of Every Arthurian Knight Tale Ever?

ARBM gets it; this shit happens all the time, but for some reason Avatar is the movie everyone is so proud of themselves for figuring out. If you've read and seen enough you can find a movie or book that every single thing which will come out this year parallels even if on accident.

That ability to allude is one of the reasons why they say the more you read or the more you watch movies the more you like the experience of future reading/movie watching.

Calling what their mining for Unobtainium is kind of like a product being made by Acme; I for one instantly understood why he was calling it that when it came up in the movie. Then again, I know shit about stuff.

Avatar was visually beautiful, as a movie it was awful, and boring as all fuck. Also if some one tells me they've been writing something for 15 years I expect something better than unobtainium.
