It's funny because both Inception and Lost have one of the same problems, arbitrary rules for the sake plot expedience. Lost is total and complete garbage though and Compass liking it makes me sure he's a joke character.
What's a plot hole in The Prestige? Seemed like a pretty well constructed movie to me
I like Lost a lot, too, but the plot is pretty spotty. The characters were what carried it for me (except Jack - what a bitch).

A few problems with nearly hundred hours of story that was being written as it aired is forgivable. A two hour plot line of ludicrous nonsense at every turn is not.
Network pressures, Lack of talent and foresight on part of Cuse and Lindelof, same thing.
