With astroboy on the way, some other old animes are being considered. A rather elaborate website has been put up for Tetsujin 28. It is pretty impressive for something that hasn't been officially approved.
The opening movie is pretty impressive.

Why is everything all blue-gray and desaturated?
It fits the style of Tetsujin28. The only colors needed are blue, red, yellow, and fire.
Nothing about the humans, but the robots are complete amazing.
