Part of this is the weird/incredibly slow jump animation. What happened tot the old four-frame cycle intercut with a ball? If it ain't broke...

It looks way too early to cast judgement based on that video. The bits at the end were buggy as hell. I'm hoping they manage to fix the jumping animation too, because there's no sense of speed to it at all. Just a lazy spin.
