I think it'll come down to how it plays. NSMBW isn't the prettiest thing on the block, but it has some amazing level design. If they can get away from the "push right to win" (PRtW) design in Sonic 4 and get some of the 2/3 flavor back, it'll be worth getting.
Aside - the more I see Sonic Colors, the more I want it. Looks PRtW, but it could be a little more with all the powerups Sonic gets. Reminds me of Sonic 3's shields in that sense.
