You guys need to let this shit go already.
I guess the world isn't like 1991 when the people playing Genesis games were largely 38 year old physicists forsaking sleep so they could fit play time in with work and thumb agility exercises. It probably is unrealistic to expect a kid to control Sonic as he used to be. You would think a game featuring an escaped breakfast cereal mascot would have been made for kids in the first place... Sega should have gone with their original character design of an investment banker in red Nikes to avoid any confusion. If you stood still long enough, the sprite would whip out his cell phone and start trading with his broker.

I'd like to see a Rolling Thunder 4 myself. Should that come around, here's hoping Namco keeps the job inhouse except for maybe hiring Ayako Saso to do BGM. At least this wouldn't have the complex physics of a Sonic. Fucking up RT4 would be an even graver transgression IMO.
Commando 3 was a real botch-up in the art department. C3 begged for some serious Shinkiro art, but it instead got this inappropriate cartoonish style.
Digression over. Back to Sonic 4. "Letting this shit go" will be a hard thing to do. But dusting off Sonic 3, S&K, or S3&K sure doesn't hurt. Fixing Sonic's acceleration would be good move for Ep 2. Force the developers to play Sonic 3 until they see it in their sleep.
Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)
Aaand two more stumble into the sarchasm.
Buttplant can barely handle being literal. You're giving him too much credit.
I always find these post kind of stupid. Does this happen in the real world? I wonder if people said these kinds of things in the 80s when Ford fucked up the mustang or when the Impala was turned into a shitty small car in the 00s?
"dude, you guys gotta let go the Mustang."
It is ok to get upset and argue about stupid shit. That is most of American life. Most of us aren't sick, dying or starving. It is ok to spare a few emotions on your average day. Life will go on. No need to save up bitching for when you get cancer or someone shoots you in the leg.
