I just saw a commercial for this (literally moments ago), and as much as I enjoyed reading the book, I don't see how this could be a good movie. Without gratuitous nudity, lots of facials, full frontal male nudity, and lots of puke, I don't see why you would make this a movie. I remember posting about the book and getting berated for it, but seriously who thought this should become cinema? I guess we find out how it is a week from now.

Oh Tucker Max.

I once really like the guy's site and stories until I realized that they were all complete fabrications. Also, he's a major slime ball.

Still, the movie adaptation of book, for what it was, could have been something decently funny. However, if the preview is any indication, it's not just bad, it's incredibly boring, the greatest sin a subversive/for-the-brosephs movie can commit. It's as if the director had never seen a comedy movie in the past 30 years or so. I mean, if you can get over how much of a wanker Max is, you can appreciate that he possesses a modicum
of comedic timing.

But the movie? Ugh.
