Supposedly Apps are going to start showing up in November, let's hope they actually follow through.
I SWEAR IF YOU BITCH ABOUT TWINSTICKS I WILL BREAK MY FOOT OFF IN YOUR ASSOriginally Posted by Dolemite
Fire up the Marketplace, a bunch of free games have been added! PGR looks pretty amazing to be honest. I got the others dling now, I want to give Audiosurf a whirl next.
Audiosurf Tilt is cool as hell! It's simplified from it's PC brother. One mode (with a turbo option to make it more challenging) where you just tilt from lane to lane to pick up the colored blocks. There are speed bumps that knock you in the air that you need to avoid. Instead of points, it counts the blocks you collect with different amounts needed to hit bronze, silver and gold metals. At the end you use those blocks as currency to buy more backgrounds (35 choices I think).
It looks fantastic. Runs like silk and the colors are just eye popping. Awesome game on the go that uses your library and the fact that it's free means that anyone that has a Zune HD has to download it.
I give the thumbs up to the Bowling game too. Looks great, all sorts of stuff to unlock, a good time killer. You can finger swipe or use Wii Bowling like throws to play. Swiping works well while the swing is kinda not too good.
PGR is a pretty cool tech demo. Textures are simple but clean and the framerate is super solid. Right thumb is gas pedal and left is the break with the handbrake right next to it. Tilting to turn is really awkward, but you get used to. PGR is a big drain on the battery though.
I bought one of these last weekend. It's awesome
I've been dancing for months with the idea of picking up a Zune HD. Has anyone tried downloading their videos purchased on XBLM on it and has the app store improved any? If it has a check book app I would be super happy.
All I have to say is, if you use Zune Pass and want to upgrade your PC be ready for a shit fest. I just updated my cpu (no format necessary) and by doing that I fucked my DRM rights on this machine. None of the fixes worked so I either had to call India or reformat. PITA.
Same thing happens with iTunes, though it may not be as big of a pain in the ass. I had the logic board replaced in my MBP, and when syncing my iPhone, I was notified that everything had to be authorized for the new computer. Luckily, with iTunes, you can authorize up to 5 computers. How does this work with the Zune? Only one computer or else you have to call India?
