ANYWAY, you want more indie films? Fucking go see 'em opening weekend. WHEN POSSIBLE. The theaters count totals Monday morning and make decisions on what's going to keep running.

I'm not sure. I don't pay attention to movies unless they don't look shitty, but there have been more Not Shitty Not Blockbuster films released in the past few years than i ever paid attention to before.

Nah, I haven't seen any Transformers movies (except the 1986(?) one back in the day). I usually avoid movies like those in the theatres. Those are "borrow a DVD off someone" flicks. The theatre's a rip-off so I only go to the stuff I really want to see like District 9, to use a recent example.
And yes, the concept of quality completed films not getting distribution is disturbing.
