I tried. I couldn't get into it. Hardy was great, however.
I'm really late to the party on this one. I went in knowing nothing about the character or story and found the movie to be pretty damn great. Really well directed, I felt Tom Hardy did a kick ass job acting, and I never felt the movie drag at all at any point. Not a film for everyone, but I would definitely recommend it.

Gymkata: I mean look at da lil playah woblin his way into our hearts in the sig awwwwwww
It really just boiled down to one thing for me, the anticipation of him demolishing someone's face, and me being happy when it happened. I liked those parts.

I tried again. Not sure what happened last time, but this time I fucking loved it...the directing, the acting, the overall style, the artistic liberties taken, everything. Tom Hardy might be my new favorite actor.
I almost shit myself laughing during the butter scene. "QUICKER! QUICKER! QUICKER! QUICKER! QUICKER! QUICKER! FUCK OFF! SIT DOWN! IN THE CORNER! DON'T MOVE, CUNT!"
Drive and Lost in Translation are the same movie for the same people – spellbinding atmosphere.
