I'm really late to the party on this one. I went in knowing nothing about the character or story and found the movie to be pretty damn great. Really well directed, I felt Tom Hardy did a kick ass job acting, and I never felt the movie drag at all at any point. Not a film for everyone, but I would definitely recommend it.

It really just boiled down to one thing for me, the anticipation of him demolishing someone's face, and me being happy when it happened. I liked those parts.

I saw Drive but for some reason I wasn't all OMG about it like so many other people. The production of the film itself was fantastic, something just didn't strike a chord for me with it. I'm definitely going to check out the rest of the stuff he has directed.

Yeah, I was way disappointed by that movie. Real poor characterization and stupid, hokey plot. It just seemed to get by on its violence. See also: Taken.
