There was good news and bad news for the Pens tonight. The good news is that the Devils didn't score four for the fourth time in a row. The bad news is that the Devils won for the fourth time in a row, and the Penguins got shut out for the second time in a row.

I don't think it's useless at all actually.
Ugh whiny assholes:
According to one Devils’ player, Marouelli said the Penguins were complaining about the penalties.
“[Marouelli] said they were complaining that we didn’t have any penalties,” the player said. “[Marouelli] said we were behaving well and hadn’t done anything wrong.”
Parise had an intriguing exchange with Penguins superstar Sidney Crosby during the first period tonight. After Parise shouldered Crosby into the boards 8:12 into the game, Crosby responded with a slash across Parise’s right arm. No penalty was called.
“He tried to say I hit him late, but I didn’t think I did,” Parise said.
That was part of what Crosby said to Parise during their shouting match after the two players returned to their benches.
“That amongst other things.” Parise said.
It's reflective of 5 players on the ice, not one. If you're playing with a shitty defensive pairing or with the 4th line against the other team's 1st line your stats are going to suffer no matter how well you play.
The Rangers are among the lowest scoring and least talented top 6 in the league and (I'm not looking it up) probably have the worst goal differential 5 on 5 of any team in the league. Of course MDZ's +/- is going to suck on team that can only score on the PP. It's not indicative of his play.
Rangers goal differential is -8 with 103 goals for, and 111 goals against. Fox sports has stats though so ? not updated for last night's games yet.
Carolina would be the worst. They're like -40 or some stupid shit. 96 goals for, 139 goals against. -43.
I don't know about 5 on 5. I didn't look that up but you can do the math. They have 5/5 GF/GA ratio on NHL.com, Columbus is the lowest with .71, Carolina has .71, NYR is .89.

So tomorrow's winter classic might be postponed a day due to rain. LOL.
