  2. I like this game, and it's fun. I don't know yet if its GOTY territory, I need to finish it first. I do how ever think list wars is stupid in that conversation. WHAT YOU THINK X is goty not when Y is released!!!! People like different shit, get over it.

  3. So um... you're admitting you haven't played Demon's Souls yet?

  4. Well let's just say that Demon's Souls would benefit from waggle.
    Donk

  5. If bitches is too slow to bubble before I throw a shell at them, throw them off a ledge or run ahead; they deserve to die.

Four player co-op is amazingly fun.

I wish Battletoads had the bubble system for two player.

The shaking the remote to fly/pick up certain objects doesn't bother me too much, but the fucking tilt-platforms drove me nuts.

I really like the game but right now I think it's probably the weakest 2D Mario game in the series (Well, not weaker than Mario Land 2 or Mario Land, but weaker than the rest); It just doesn't do a whole lot that is new (although what is new is pretty damn cool) and a lot of the time I kept thinking, "Oh, look, a desert/snow/pipe/water world. Oh, look, another Super Mario Bros 3 enemy. Oh, look, another song from New Super Mario Bros DS. Oh, look, more fucking tilting."

It just kind of felt either half baked or that it originally started off as a port of the DS game and someone just decided, "Take what you have and just make new stages for this shit."
I really like this game but I can understand what you're saying. You can see real progress in Mario 2D platformers, between Super Mario Bros > Super Mario Bros. 3 > Super Mario World > Yoshi's Island. But this feels like the original mario bros made for today.

They've never really built from Yoshi's Island ever, or built from Super Mario World to make a solely mario game. Shame, but I guess this is mostly built on nostalgia of the original game. What is the Wii Wario game like?

That's all I ever expected and this is what can and probably should be inferred from the title "New" Super Mario Bros. I just expected and received a modern day Super Mario Bros. and am thrilled at the result.

What is the Wii Wario game like?
It's grown on me, it's not spectacular, but if you can find it for sub-$40, I'd take a flier. It's not as good as the GBA game (has a similar "get in, get out" stage progression), but it looks and plays great, the waggle is implemented in a fairly practical and non-disruptive manner, but you have to be a bit of a completist to get your money's worth. I would not expect greatness, however, or you will be disappointed.

I like NSMB, but I'd say Punch Out is my GOTY. I don't think anyone else (except maybe Glass Joe) would agree.

I finally got a friend to come over for some 2 player, and the game does indeed rock. Sometimes a difficult stage would just break down into us throwing shells at each other or throwing each other into pits. Good stuff. Then we played HOTD Overkill, it was an entertaining night.
