Well, if we're saying it's okay to emulate shit, then half of the options are redundant. I'd definitely take a DS. I'm mostly going for variety here... there are a lot of DS games that I like and I wouldn't cry about not having a 360 or PS3 if I had a decent computer with me.

If I'm stuck on a deserted island, IP laws can fuck themselves.

  5. PC, PlayStation 2 and PlayStation 3. (My PS3 isn't backwards compatible with PS2 games.)
Currently playing: Binary Domain (PC), EVE Online: Retribution (PC), Guild Wars 2 (PC)

  6. PC is the obvious no-brainer, even if we discount emulation.

But I'm also packing a SNES and a Genesis, because they're the only ones that I know will still keep working long after my PC hard drive is dead and my Xbox has RROD'd.

That is an angle I didn't consider.

  8. Desert island has no fucking power to run your consoles.

  9. #19
Deserted, not desert. Perhaps a neutron bomb killed everyone else but left all of the infrastructure.

It's deserted though, not necessarily a desert. There used to be people there, and they left behind televisions, extension cords, and beer.

    Edit: late.
