Thread: Pee-Wee's Playhouse: The Movie

  1. Pee-Wee's Playhouse: The Movie

    Get a load of this.

  2. I LOVE Pee-Wee's Big Adventure and his old HBO show was great too. I haven't seen Paul Reubens on screen in a long time. Not sure what to think of this though.

He has a great role in Life During Wartime (taking over for Jon Lovitz from Happiness), which I saw a couple weeks ago at the NY Film Festival. I dunno when that'll actually get a proper theatrical release though.

  4. He was on the Jay Leno show the other week in character. There were times when it was unmistakable Pee Wee, and some times when he lost it.

  5. I think he was just rusty. If only the Pee-Wee Herman Show could make a return on the stage, Paul would get it down pretty quick with a regular performance with audience reactions.

  6. During the height of the Pee Wee thing, Paul stayed in character during every public appearance, and even off camera sometimes, kind of like a Borat thing. I can see how that would take some work to get back into.
