Thread: This Just In: Nintendo Doesn't Get It

  1. I got called a cracker today because I told a black guy to try the black vending machine since the other wasn't working for him.

    Actually, a cracker-ass cracker.

That's so you know you're not a soul cracker.

Because I can't think of a single Nintendo game released in, say, the past five years where I ever thought "Man, this shit is hard, I really wish there were checkpoints." NSMBW is the toughest thing they have released in forever, and it has mid-level checkpoints.
    Galaxy is harder than NSMBW.

  4. Only if you have problems with fake depth-perception. Mario Galaxy is stupid and booooring.
    Donk

  5. The platforming in Mario Galaxy is harder than the new super mario bros. I like both games, but I did get bored of Galaxy quite early on. I love how in the new super mario bros game you don't clip through one another. So double platforming with a friend (or my nephew in this case) becomes much more team oriented than two people just getting to the end flag.

Are you talking in terms of simply getting to the end? While I can agree that some some of the purple coin levels in Galaxy are harder than anything in NSMBW, I found finishing Galaxy to be a breeze.

  7. Amazon just released their Top 20 Video Game Bestsellers for the year. Hold on to your asses.

    01. Wii
    02. Wii Remote controller
    03. Wii MotionPlus
    04. Wii Nunchuk controller
    05. New Super Mario Bros. Wii (Wii)
    06. Wii Fit Plus (Wii)
    07. Wii Sports Resort (Wii)
    08. Wii Fit (Wii)
    09. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (Xbox 360)
    10. Mario Kart Wii (Wii)

    11. PlayStation 3 Dualshock 3 controller
    12. Wii Play (Wii)
    13. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (PS3)
    14. Wii Wheel
    15. Assassin's Creed II (Xbox 360)
    16. Halo 3: ODST (Xbox 360)
    17. PlayStation 3 120 GB
    18. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (PS3)
    19. EA Sports Active (Wii)
    20. Left 4 Dead 2 (Xbox 360)

So the Wii Wheel, that cheap bit of plastic that already came bundled with Mario Kart Wii, outsold Uncharted 2 on Amazon this year. And the Wii MotionPlus, which is currently mandatory for almost nothing and already came bundled with Wii Sports Resort, was a bigger seller for Amazon than the 120GB PS3.

It would appear that Nintendo does, indeed, get it.

Yeah, because this thread started out by saying that Nintendo doesn't know how to market stuff.

  9. I hope you get it too

  10. It might be best for everyone's mental health to stop looking at Nintendo as a competitor to Sony and MS. Like pro wrestling versus real sports.
    No gnus is good gnus.
